Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
What is Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy?
Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a safe and effective way to increase oxygen levels in the body at a cellular level. By providing an optimal environment for essential cellular functions, HBOT enhances the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
This therapy involves breathing filtered, pressurized ambient air, which helps oxygen dissolve more effectively into the body’s tissues and organs, promoting overall health and recovery.
Is Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Safe?
Absolutely! HBOT uses filtered ambient air, eliminating any risk of oxygen toxicity, even with regular use.
- The chamber can be safely depressurized and opened from the inside.
- Users can maintain both visual and verbal communication with those outside the chamber.
- Most people find the experience comfortable and relaxing, emerging from their session feeling refreshed.
- This non-invasive, non-pharmaceutical therapy has no known dangerous side effects.
What to Expect During a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Session
When the chamber is deflated, it may appear compact, but once fully pressurized, it provides ample space for 1-2 adults to lie comfortably. As the chamber inflates and begins pressurizing, you may feel a slight pressure in your ears, similar to the sensation experienced during an airplane ascent. This feeling typically lasts only a few minutes.
Session Duration & Activities
- Length of Session: Each HBOT session lasts 60 minutes. For certain conditions 90 minutes is recommended. Afterwards, your body remains saturated with Oxygen for up to 4 hours!
- Activities You Can Enjoy Inside the Chamber:
- Listen to music
- Talk on your phone
- Play handheld games
- Watch movies on a portable device
- Work on a laptop
- Read or take a nap
